The Bears–Packers rivalry is one of the oldest rivalries in U.S. ![]() They have played over 100 games against each of those teams through history, and have a winning overall record against all of them, a distinction only shared with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys. The Packers are long-standing adversaries of the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions, who today form the NFL's NFC North division (formerly known as the NFC Central Division). ![]() The Packers have recorded the most wins (826) and the second-highest win–loss record (.571) in NFL history, including both regular season and playoff games. The turning point came in the start of the 1990s, and since then the team has enjoyed much regular-season success, making the playoffs 22 times since 1993 however, their only two subsequent Super Bowl wins came in the 1996 season under head coach Mike Holmgren and the 2010 season under head coach Mike McCarthy, with one additional appearance in 1997 that ended in defeat. Following Lombardi’s retirement, the team struggled through the 1970s and 1980s. The Vince Lombardi Trophy is named after the Packers' coach Vince Lombardi, who guided them to their first two Super Bowls. The Packers won the first two Super Bowls in 19 and were the only NFL team to defeat the American Football League (AFL) prior to the AFL–NFL merger. The Packers have won 13 league championships, the most in NFL history, with nine pre- Super Bowl NFL titles and four Super Bowl victories. Although Green Bay is by far the smallest major league professional sports market in North America, Forbes ranked the Packers as the world's 27th most valuable sports franchise in 2019, with a value of $2.63 billion. In 1933, the Packers began playing part of their home slate in Milwaukee until changes at Lambeau Field in 1995 made it more lucrative to stay in Green Bay full time Milwaukee is still considered a home media market for the team. Between 19, the Packers competed against other semi-pro clubs from around Wisconsin and the Midwest, before joining the American Professional Football Association (APFA), the forerunner of today's NFL, in 1921. Founded in 1919 by Earl "Curly" Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun, the franchise traces its lineage to other semi-professional teams in Green Bay dating back to 1896. The Packers are the last of the "small town teams" which were common in the NFL during the league's early days of the 1920s and 1930s. They have the most wins of any NFL franchise. Home games have been played at Lambeau Field since 1957. ![]() It is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, and is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team based in the United States. Indian burn feeling nipples10/13/2023 In London, everyone wanted to meet her, though they were sometimes disappointed when they did many were with Mary, the wife of the diarist John Evelyn, who thought her insane. In them, she appears part aristocrat, and part Greek statue, the suggestion being that she is an heir to the likes of Ovid and Homer.Īfter the Restoration of Charles II, the couple returned to England, and to William’s estates, and Cavendish somehow became a well-known public figure, famed as much for her eccentric appearance as for her work. ![]() So certain was she of her abilities, she commissioned an artist to create two ornate frontispieces for her books. ![]() Peacock speculates that Cavendish may have begun writing initially for money, but whatever her motivation, she was soon a published author. But for the times, they were a relatively happy, relatively equal couple, and after they moved to Antwerp, where they lived in Rubens’s house, he set about educating her (William was something of a literary patron Ben Jonson had stayed at Welbeck, his Nottinghamshire estate). The couple were not able to have children together, and William’s from his first marriage did not take to their stepmother. In London, everyone wanted to meet her, though when they did many were with Mary, the wife of the diarist John Evelyn, who thought her insane In the run-up to their marriage, William wrote her 70 adoring poems. Margaret, though, took to him, and her feelings were reciprocated. William, 30 years her senior, had a poor war record – he’d led a group of volunteers during the rout by the Parliamentarians at Marston Moor – and the fighting had left him broke. Distraction came with the arrival of William Cavendish, the Marquis of Newcastle, who would become her husband only nine months later. As Peacock tells us, the exiles could not cross their apartments without coming upon piles of excrement – courtiers and staff alike were in the habit of crouching in corners – and Margaret was soon ill with dysentery. But while she was given lodgings at the Louvre, and a country house in Saint-Germain, court life in Paris was not precisely grand. In 1644, the queen fled to France, taking her ladies with her. (The soldiers made their way to the vault below its chapel, where they cut the hair off of her mother and sister, and wore it mockingly, as makeshift wigs.) Luckily, by this point, Cavendish had already fled to Oxford, where Charles I had established his court, and where she would soon become a maid of honour to Queen Henrietta Maria. Cavendish had the misfortune (or was it?) to be born in 1623, to a family that, once the civil war was under way, soon fell foul of the Puritans during the siege of Colchester in 1648, her childhood home, St John’s Abbey, was stormed by the Parliamentary army. For all the claims that Peacock makes in Pure Wit for her subject’s writing and philosophical thinking, in the 21st century, her appeal for the non-scholar surely lies more in the life rather than in the work. Her best-known work is The Blazing World, a utopian prose piece that may be read as proto-science fiction (it’s available as a Penguin Classic). No wonder that in A Room of One’s Own, Virginia Woolf took the easy route out, dismissing Cavendish as “crack-brained and bird-witted”, a “crazy Duchess”, a “bogey to frighten clever girls with”. But who knows from where this rank ambition sprang? As even her latest biographer, Francesca Peacock, admits, it’s so hard to put the two halves of this uncommon creature together: the ill-educated girl who was practically mute with shyness, and the prolific and notorious writer who, in 1667, would become the first woman to attend a meeting of the Royal Society (an occurrence, incidentally, that would not be repeated for a couple of centuries). In later life, Margaret Cavendish’s designs on fame make her sound like Boris Johnson: here was a woman who wanted to be an “empress and authoress of the whole world”.

Pfsense router10/13/2023 ![]() ![]() The bottom line is, the ideas apply anyway. The test / showcase was done with OPNsense here but I don't suppose it differs a lot from pfSense. But certainly the process to set that up is most likely troublesome. (Well, I mean the router part of Router certainly the switch part of it is always involved.) Other than configuring that manually on every host, replacing the DHCP server on Router with a more customizable one that allows you to configure additional route(s) to push is another option.įor example, you can configure pfSense to host a WAN-side DHCP server (I assume it is capable of what I just mentioned). You must additionally disable "Block private networks" if you chose to add an exception/pass rule only:įor the record, ideally speaking it would be best to have the route 192.168.77.0/24 via 192.168.0.254 configured on the 192.168.0.0/24 hosts, so that the communication in concern will be symmetric and not involving Router at all. Note that because the WAN side subnet in your case is a private one. The defaults are admin/pfsense, respectively. Enter your username and password in the login page. Which would also disable outbound NAT (so the first step can be skipped if you opt for this) To access the pfSense webconfigurator, open a web browser on a computer connected to your firewall and enter your LAN IP address. You can either simply disable the firewall entirely: Both manual and disable should work:īut apart from that, you will also need to configure the firewall for a bit. ![]() As mentioned in my comment, you will need to disable outbound NAT, otherwise the replies from backup drives won't be recognized as replies by MediaServer as their source IP address will become 192.168.0.254, which differs from the original traffics' destination address 192.168.77.10 (because destination NAT a.k.a.

Gimp editor aint10/12/2023 ![]() At the moment I'm under time pressure to get some work done so, believe it or not, I'm going to do the work in ViewNX2+Gimp and learn LightRoom later. Its cropping and rotating tools are far easier to use, but I'm confused by its importing/cataloging process and don't know my way around it. It is slower than ViewNX2 and does not have as many editing features as Gimp. The documentation is ok, but there is far more written about Lightroom and much more collective user experience to draw upon. Gimp seems to be pretty full-featured and I haven't encountered bugs. When this value increases, the brush width turns counter-clock-wise (0. Press and hold and then slide one finger to pan (useful when zoomed in). But here are some specifics to the Android interface. This angle is the angle between the brush width direction, which is normally horizontal, and the horizontal direction, counter-clock-wise. How to use this GIMP Android app: Use it just like normal. If you save a new file (for example from gimp), ViewNX2 won't see it until you go to a directory higher up the hierarchy, and then back into the directory where you put the file. A diamond with a 5 pixels radius and an Aspect Ratio 2, will be flattened with a 10 pixels width and a 5 pixels height (1.0-20.0). It tends to crash, but never corrupts files. ViewNX2 isn't the greatest, but I'm very familiar with it and like it. Kudos to the creators for making the software free.I've been using ViewNX2 and gimp (free photo editing software). ![]() Although I do have Serif Affinity Photo for more advanced stuff, if I want to do something more simplistic, I always opt for Paintdotnet and the vast majority of users will find it useful. An advantage paintdotnet has over Gimp though, is that you do not need to export a project, you can simply "Save as", Gimp works much like photoshop and others that if you want to save as PNG or JPG you have to export, of course this only takes marginally longer, however it is a feature of paintdotnet I like. It features an intuitive and innovative user interface with support for layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools. This is the official website of the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). This is one advantage the likes of Gimp has over paintdotnet. Paint.NET® is image and photo editing software for PCs that run Windows. Text is a disadvantage, if you are wanting to add text to an image, yes it is easy, however, editing said text at a later stage, does not seem possible. The user interface is intuitive, you can work with layers and have settings for different layers, including a multitude of modes for mixing one layer with another. There are a lot of effects included and many plugins available for free, since I have many plugins I got elsewhere I can't remember which are included by default. If all you want to do is simply crop an image, rotate it, make it black and white or add some minor effects, it will more than make that easy, if you want to remove a background, then the magic wand works very well too. ![]() It is not designed to be used for drawing, though some artists and creators have.
